FAITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Faith Community Partners (FCP) is a mission initiative of Central Presbyterian Church. Launched in 2015, and declared the "mission arm" of Central Church in 2016, FCP is a community development organization whose purpose is to serve as a catalyst for renewal in the community.
Faith Community Partners believes in the power of working together. We are a nonprofit collaboration of churches, community organizations, businesses, government agencies, and individuals committed to positive social and economic change in Tarentum and nearby communities. We improve our community by improving the lives of those with the greatest needs.

CLOTHING CLOSET
The clothing ministry at Central begins its tenth year in 2020. This initiative assists those in need with clean, affordable clothing. Voucher systems are in place with partnering organizations to provide clothing to clients at no charge. We stand ready to respond to individuals who need new clothing for job interviews, as well as families who are victimized by fires, floods, and other disasters.
Open every Saturday all year-long from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., this is a popular place and time for people to gather, enjoy fellowship, and help each other.
FOOD MINISTRIES

Our food-related ministries do much more than feed people - they provide opportunities for people to gather in a caring environment and enjoy fellowship with each other.
COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP LUNCH

This meal is served at 12:00 Noon most Saturdays all year-long. It happens while our Clothing Closet is open. Guests enjoy a hot lunch, table fellowship, and opportunities to volunteer either in preparing the meal or cleaning up afterward.
DOLLAR BREAKFAST

Served on the third Saturday of every month from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, this event provides an opportunity for individuals and families to gather and enjoy a meal together at a very affordable price. It is not intended to be a fundraiser. All funds generated by it are put back into it to sustain it.
EMERGENCY
FOOD PANTRY
Guests may receive food items from this pantry once a month. Its intended purpose is to bridge the gap between food received from other sources or to help people until other means become available to them to acquire food on their own.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Central Church is blessed to work with neighboring churches, local businesses, other organizations and non-profits, and friends from the community who all support our initiatives and our mission. Our focus is "community" in the true sense of the word, as we work and witness to the people who live near the church.
CONCERT SERIES
In partnership with our Ensemble-in-Residence, the Academy Chamber Ensemble (ACE), and WQED - FM Radio, Central Church offers four free concerts each season. These events provide audiences with beautiful music in an intimate setting. Under the direction of artistic director Dr. Warren Davidson, ACE concerts focus on the great classical music tradition and sometimes include musical rarities and contemporary works. Refreshments are served at each concert. The series is supported by Goodwill Offerings and a Friends of Music sponsorship program of Central Church.
The Concert Series is a form of outreach to the local community under the auspices of Central's mission initiative, FCP Services.
